The annual Wales Care Awards are a celebration of excellence across the Wales care sector with a purpose of congratulating those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field.
This year’s prestigious award ceremony, held at the iconic City Hall in Cardiff, was hosted by well-known Radio Wales presenter and opera singer Wynne Evans and was the first awards ceremony to be held in person since before the pandemic.
Ruth, a Service Manager, who has worked at Cartref Ni for over eight years was thrilled to receive the Learning Disability & Mental Health Services Award. Over the years many Cartref Ni staff have been nominated for Wales Care Awards and against strong competition, were successful in winning awards including Supported Living Care Practitioner Award, Dignity in Care Award, The Social Care Health and Safety Award and more.
Congratulations also went to a number of Cartref Ni staff who were nominated at this year’s awards and shortlisted for an interview which in itself is a major achievement. Staff included Lorraine Eccles, Angela Buckland, Heather Lightfoot and Claire Cassidy.
